Christmas, basketball and a lot of fun.

December

So december is almost over, and so is 2014. Soon it´s 2015 and half of my exchange year has gone by. 2014 has been one of the most adventure filled years in my life- Mallorca,  Croatia, Ærø and then USA, i loved every single trip, and im exited for more in the future. I just want to say thank for everyone who helped make this year perfect, i love you all. Surprisingly i haven't had a lot of homesickness over christmas, which if weird, because i was sure that i would get homesick around christmas, and at every YFU info meeting, thy always told us that christmas was the hardest, but for me it didn't really tricker any homesickness, which hopefully is a good sign :/ Of course would it be nice to have christmas with my family in Denmark, but i always have next year, and all the years to come. Im exited to see what the year 2015 is bringing, what im sure it will bring is missing people when i get home, but also happiness for seeing my family after almost a year.

Here is just a little cute quote from winnie the pooh...

we where at a winter wonderland, and one of the places there was all the flags in the world, the only flag (Other than france flag) , that was next to the American flag, was the danish flag. What a coincidence. we just had to have a picture next to that!

Yesterday (27) we went to Bowling green university to see our varsity basketball boys play against Anthony Wayne

ready for christmas
Chritmas eve (24)

i started about 9 in the morning preparing for the dinner. My family gave me permission to make a real danish christmas dinner. So i did. (Warning a lot of danish words now) i made Ris a´l´mande (Rice pudding), Flæskesteg (pork roast), flæskestegssovs (Gravy), Brune kartofler (Caramelized potatoes), hvide kartofler (potatoes), æbleskiver, rødkål (Red cabbage)

this is how the flæksesteg ended, not the result i wanted but, we needed to buy the top part separate from the pork roast so it was kind of difficult, but it still tasted good.

Æbleskiver

Almost looking like a real danish christmas dinner (they dont have sovsekulør (Gravy color) here in america, in Denmark we have this thing we put in our gravy so it gets brown. but i forgot they dint have that here. )

Christmas with the duerks

Dancing around the christmas tree (A danish christmas tradition)

They put theese candles in paperboys all the way up the street, it´s so pretty.

Skipping with dad, stepmom, and sister in Denmark, and at the same time with my mom and brother in Thailand. Kinda confusing i know...

Hope you all had a merry christmas and you will have a happy and experienced filled new year. ! <3 font="">
